WLO welcomes new members of the Board of Directors

After an open call for new WL Board of Directors members was launched in September last year, we are glad to welcome on board Prof. Dr. Ricardo R. Uvinha (University of Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Dr. Alixon Reyes (Adventist University of Chile, Chile). We welcome and thank them for their willingness to contribute to the development of WLO’s programmes and activities! Additionally, we would like to give special thanks to our now former Board members, Mrs. Yvonne Klerks and Prof. Dr. Ping Ling, who for many years has served as WLO Treasurer, Board and Executive Committee member and Board and Executive Committee member, respectively.

Coming from South Africa, the USA, The Netherlands, Brazil and China, five members are rejoining the WLO Board of Directors, who will serve for the period 2024-2026. They have been elected by current members of the Board after an open nomination process that closed in November last year.

Thus, the newly (re)elected members of the Board are:

Prof. Marie Young – University of the Western Cape, South Africa

Prof. Dr. Ricardo R. Uvinha – University of Sao Paulo, Brazil

Victor (Zhongqiang) Ma – China
