This event is an official side event of the United Nations High Level Political Forum (UN HLPF) on Sustainable Development, organized by the World Leisure Organization (WLO) in collaboration with CALS, CILRA, LSA, TALS and ANZALS. The webinar is held under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.

Join us as we delve into the critical role of leisure in alleviating poverty and advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We will explore how leisure can be integrated into poverty alleviation strategies, successful examples of leisure activities that have positively impacted communities, the challenges faced by communities in implementing leisure-based interventions, and strategies to overcome obstacles and ensure accessibility and benefits for all. The importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships in promoting leisure-based poverty reduction will also be discussed.
