The first Hangzhou World Expo, held from April 22 to October 22, 2006, was organized by various national and local government bodies and organizations. This landmark event boosted Zhejiang Province and Hangzhou’s international reputation, developed China’s leisure industry, optimized tourism, and branded Hangzhou as the “Oriental Leisure Capital.” With an impressive attendance of 15 million domestic and 1 million overseas tourists, the Expo successfully promoted global leisure science exchange and leisure economy development.

The World Leisure Expo & Forum is a biennial event taking place in the city of Hangzhou, The WL Expo & Forum is a major exhibition showcasing some of the most innovative businesses in the leisure sector at different levels.
