Chris Rojek is Professor of Sociology at City University, London. He joinedthe University in 2013. Since 1994 he has held Chairs of Sociology atStaffordshire University, Nottingham Trent University and BrunelUniversity (West London). He received a BA(Hons) in Social Sciencefrom the University of Leicester in 1976; and MPhil in Sociology from theUniversity of Leicester in 1979; and a Phd in Sociology from GlasgowUniversity in 1992. He has written 15 books, co-authored two and editedor co-edited afurther 13 titles. He has published over 50 refereedarticles. He has lecturing experience in Canada, Australia, New Zealand,and the USA. He has been in the WL Academy since1981.
